Bath's tourism industry was hit harder than expected this summer as the London 2012 Games put people off travelling to the UK because of expensive accommodation costs.
Bath and North East Somerset Council's heritage services team had been preparing for a downturn in people coming to the city, but the actual figures appear to be worse than anticipated.
