There is a record in the chancery deposition at the Public Record Office (ref: C21 W14/3) of a John Brinde of Aldbourne who died aged 68 in 1617. He was described as a husbandman. Possible parents of John (who was probably born in about 1549) are John Brend and his wife Alice (nee Palmer). John and Alice married in Wingfield on 04/02/1548. There are Wingfields in both Suffolk and Derbyshire. It is possible that John Brinde (1549?-1617) was an ancestor of Thomas Brind who married Eleanor (nee Horne) in Aldbourn, Wilts, on 12/8/1649.
