In March 2010 the access ramp mysteriously disappeared. Kings Head Bridge ramp had been mentioned at the user group (item 7). Apparently the ramp reached the end of its useful life. The supports were no longer considered safe. LVRPA has decided to replace it with some kind of link/boardwalk, directly from the bridge to Sandy Lane. This may happen in April/May if British Waterways go through with current plans. If not LVRPA will attempt to secure funding for it, probably within the next year or two.
