William and Mary seem to have been brother and sister. Although they lived in Liddington they do not seem to be on the Liddington Church Memorial and William was born in Southwick or Southampton. It seems that William set up a Brind Charity that funded a night school. He seems to have had some money invested in the London Brighton South Coast Railway. It took about ten years after this William Brind died before the Brind Charity was set up, which seems a long time. However, there are no really good alternatives. The best is probably William Brind who died in 1880 in Marlborough. | ||
