Dear Jonathan,

Thank you very much for the family tree and the information regarding Uncle Otto and Harry. My father said that Otto was always known as 'Owen' and said the change was possibly due to the anti-German feeling around the Great War period.

I've acted on your advice in requesting the birth certificate of Henry B and his brother Edward. I'm also corresponding with the Imperial War Museum for the military record of their father Edward from which we should learn his place of birth, etc. I enclose the married lines of Henry B along with a list of other documents held by me. I am very interested in taking up your offer concerning the Brind history. I can print out a disk at work without problems it its a standard pc, 3.5in floppy preferably in Word 6.

thank you own again for completing the tree, it looks really great in print.

kind regards,

Neville

Jonathan

I have been in touch with Neville Brind and he is sending me some more material.

I will email you when I have concluded the project, as I am currently trying to find some more info on Otto Brassington Brind whom his surviving daughter is convinced was employed by the Admiralty/Royal Navy in the murky world of intelligence or counter-espionage. I am trying to extract his service record under the Freedom of Information Act.

Thanks again.

Regards

Ian
