| Underneath the arches that make up the rail viaduct (see rail bridge ) the land is usually fenced off with barbed wire, though every now and then, the cattle are driven from the outer to the inner marsh (or back again) underneath the viaduct, when the padlocks are removed from two gates. In February 2014 signs went up proclaiming that the fenced off land underneath the viaduct belongs to Network Rail. |

| Interestingly, bikes seem to be able to use the Sandy Path, even though it has no tarmac, which makes you wonder why the Sustrans has to have such an expensive surfacing. To the left of this picture there is another bloody fence.
