Subject: Ken Brind Hello from Canada:

There is an obituary in The Globe and Mail dated January 15, 2003 for Ken Brown. It says he is the last of the Dambusters.

Around 1968 I was working for the Canadian Department of Transport and a Ken Brind worked with us. I am sure he said he had been one of the Dambusters, so I just did a search to try to find any reference to him. I found your website with the newsclippings and the two references to Brind flyers. Unfortunately the links to Kenneth and to Anthony (who perhaps wrote the articles?) do not seem to be working. I know our Ken retired to British Columbia so I think there is a connection here. Do you know any more about him?

Jonathan: Many thanks for your quick reply. I thought afterwards that I could easily answer my own question by checking the phone book, which I have now done and find the following:
BRIND, KENNETH J
7070 WEST SAANICH RD
APP 105
BRENTWOOD BAY, BC
V8M 1P5
(250) 652-9764

Looks like the same person. I knew him well enough to at least send him the Globe and Mail article - which I will do. I will let you know what I find.

John
