I hope you may be able to solve a problem

I have a William Francis Brind marriage certificate dated 1924 in which he is stated as being 24 years old. His father is Charles.

There is no William Francis Brind on either 1901 or 1911 census. However there is a william Brind on both censuses whose parents are Charles and Emma (Fairford Glouc) stating birth at 1893/4. There is also a birth of Francis William Brind in 1893/4

Francis William Brind died in 1946 stated age 46 which would make birth 1900 confirmed by Marrage Certificate

Would be interested to know whether any member is researching this line and has perhaps encountered the problem

Marriage certificate indicates Charles as Farm Labourer living at Osborne House Wyken Grange Estate, Wyken, Coventry. William Francis was a Bricklayers Labourer. Witnesses John Hollick (Uncle of the bride) and T.J. Clarke.. The marriage was by licence as the Bride was only 17.

Since writing I find that Francis William Brind had a brother Ernest Eric both born in Fairford, Ernest also married in Coventry in 1921. A bit more than a co-incidence I think

You are probably aware that there is a Charley Brind aged 36 and therefore born in about 1875 in the 1911 census living in Coventry. I think it might be worth buying the full entry for him if you want to pursue this matter. If you do I'd be very interested if you could send me a copy of the census entry.
