The 1881 census lists the following as living in Reading in households with a George Brind head. Unfortunately there are two George Brinds and without looking at the actual census it is difficult to know who belongs to whom. A guess is that everyone (except George 44, a boot maker) belongs to the same family of George, 37, and Sarah, 36, as above. However, there is a Rosa Mary aged 2 in the census and Mary (Ann?) (who would have been aged 2 at the time) as above (who does not appear to be in the 1881 census). It would make it easier if they changed her name, but unfortunately there seem to be birth entries for each. However, the entry for Mary (Ann?) is probably the weakest, since she is the only child registered in Chippenham. All the others (including Rosa Mary) are registered in the local Reading office.
